Centro Leon in Santiago invites the public to an afternoon of folklore, arts and crafts. The Cocolo dance group, Los Guloyas from San Pedro de Macoris will be performing at the Centro Leon, the leading cultural center in Santiago. Saturday, 27 June 2015 at 4pm.
Los Guloyas were selected in 2005 by the Unesco as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The name is derived from the David and Goliath play and refers to the last remaining Cocolo dancing drama tradition.
Arts and crafts artisans from the Cibao region will be for sale at the Centro Leon from 1pm on that same Saturday.
