The Social Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRSD) has chosen its founder Hatuey de Camps as its presidential candidate for the 2016 Election during a national assembly held in Santo Domingo yesterday, Wednesday, 14 October 2015. The PRSD also ratified Rafael Gamundi Cordero as general secretary and authorized De Camps to make alliances with other parties for the 2016 election.
He joins Danilo Medina of the PLD, Luis Abinader of the PRM, Federico Antun Batlle of the PRSC, Guillermo Moreno of Alianza Pais (AP) and Juan Cohen of Partido Nacional Voluntad Ciudadana (PNVC) on the list of presidential candidates for 2016.
Meanwhile, the Alianza por la Democracia (APD) led by Max Puig has announced its support for deputy Minou Tavarez Mirabal who is seeking legal status for her new political party, Opcion Democratica.
