The Police is accusing 51-year old Pedro Santiago Barinas Valdez of the ownership of equipment used to print money. Barinas was arrested in Santo Domingo with US$121 in fake US dollars. The authorities later seized a machine used to print US dollars at his residence in Bella Vista in Santiago. Likewise, it was reported that in Los Parceleros, Santiago the authorities dismantled a “laboratory” for Dominican and foreign coins.
