Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez has told the heads of the different public ministry departments across the country to ensure that staff offers service 24 hours a day during Easter Week to be able to offer the assistance needed to the population.
The measure is so that all parts of the Public Prosecution service can offer help during the extended hours both in person and on the phone.
The instructions were given to the assistant prosecutors and the heads of the regional appeal courts, specialized prosecutors and offices, as well as the coordinators of the Integrated Assistance Units for Victims of Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Crimes in the National District and the provinces.
Rodriguez said that Easter should be a time of peace and togetherness, tolerance and love, and all Dominicans should support the fight against violence, especially domestic violence.
