An American woman identified as 45-year old Carol Ann Murphy from Kentucky, USA, died at around 7pm Saturday, 31 March 2018, when traveling on the La Romana-San Pedro de Macoris highway. The vehicle she was driving slid off the Cumayasa Bridge and the SUV landed in the shallow river. Rescuers also recovered the corpse of an unidentified female passenger.
