National volleyball team player Brayelín Martínez, playing for the Las Caribeñas team in the Superior Volleyball League Championship led her team to win the 2018 title. She contributed 13 points to the victory in the just two sets she played. Brenda Castillo, also of the national volleyball team, won the most valuable player award.
Las Caribeñas defeated Cristo Rey in the finals (17-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-20) held at the Palacio de Voleibol Ricardo (Gioriver) Arias in the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.
National District Mayor David Collado delivered the Santo Domingo City cup to the team players.
