The Ministry of Labor has issued a press release whereby it reminds businesses the holiday is not movable. Since it falls mid week, the Ministry of Labor says that Thursday, 28 February is a regular workday.
Major stores, including Centro Cuesta del Hogar, Innova, La Sirena, Home Gallery, Bravo, Plaza Lama, Arbaje Soni Decor and many others are advertising major sales to attract shoppers.
