President Danilo Medina is scheduled to give his annual rendition of accounts speech from the platform of the National Assembly at the Congress building in the Centro de los Heroes on Wednesday, 27 February 2019. It is tradition for the President to speak for more than an hour and give details shared by his cabinet ministers as to how government has performed in the previous year.
With expectations riding high on whether Medina will pursue a second re-election bid, there is much interest whether he will drop any hints as to his intentions. The speech is televised and radiocast on several stations nationwide and on CERTV, Channel 4, the government television station.
