Santiago judge Miguel Báez authorized RD$1 million bail instead of pre-trial custody to Miguelina Franco, accused of smuggling US$2 million in cash through Haina Port and for 40 packages of cocaine seized at two residences in Santo Domingo. Another person accused in the case, Luisa Amelia Fermín Hernández, was released. The case will be heard on 13 June 2019.
