The executive director of the National Energy Commission (CNE) announced that Natural World Energy Corporation (NWEC) has been authorized to build a solar-powered energy park in Las Yayas de Viajama in Villarpando, Azua, with an investment of more than US$110 million and an installed capacity for 100 megawatts. The energy park is expected to bring electricity to 195,000 homes.
Angel Canó signed for the CNE, and Carlos Frías and Nelson Ramírez for NWEC.
The project will be developed over two years.
