On Thursday, the Dominican women’s team battled Russia, losing 2-3 in five sets. The scores were 16-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, and 5-15.
The Dominican Republic is in 8th place of 12 teams, with two wins and three losses. The DR has defeated Korea and Cameroon and has lost to Japan, China and Russia.
The DR next plays Kenya (22 September), Brazil (23 September), USA (24 September), Argentina (27 September), Netherlands (28 September), Serbia (29 September).
