
158 municipalities are electing their mayor and city councilors and other officers this Sunday, 16 February 2020. Of these, 20 concentrate 64.6% of the voting population. Around 7.4 million Dominicans are eligible to vote in the election.
Greater Santo Domingo is the largest voting district in the country. It is made up by the National District, Santo Domingo East, Santo Domingo North, Santo Domingo West and Los Alcarrizos, with a total of 2,363,071 persons on the voter roll.
