President Abinader, legal advisor Peralta and Administrative Minister Paliza keep distance from corruption cases

President Luis Abinader has kept mute on the recent arrests of former Medina administration government officials and associates.

The legal advisor of the Presidency, Antoliano Peralta says that he found out about the arrests in the media.

Administrative minister Jose Ignacio Paliza, who is also the president of the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), is not talking about the arrests, either. National District Mayor Carolina Mejía, who is the secretary general of the PRM, had nothing to say.

The position of the government is that the Attorney General Office is independently managing prosecution.
