US and Dominican efforts have seized over 4 metric tons of cocaine in 2021

Charge d’ Affairs of the US Embassy Robert Thomas says US and DR agencies in collaboration with the Dominican Armada have seized over 8,100 kgs of cocaine so far this year. The US Embassy official was effusive with his praise of the Dominican Armada. He made the remarks during the visit of the commander of the United States Fourth Fleet and head of naval forces for the Southern Command, Rear Admiral Donald Gabrielson.

Rear Admiral Gabrielson said that during more than 40 operations, 29 drug interventions were carried out. He noted that joint training operations and equipment donations have helped both nation in their efforts to stem the flow of narcotics to Europe and the United States.
