The head of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca), Wilson Camacho has caught the Covid-19 virus. This explains his absence from the hearing for coercive measures against former attorney general, Jean Alain Rodríguez and the other seven implicated in the Medusa Operation case.
Panky Corsino, in charge of communications for the Attorney General Office said that Camacho first thought he had the flu. But then he tested positive for Covid-19. Corsino said that Camacho is at home undergoing medical treatment.
The hearing of the request for coercive measures filed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office against Rodriguez and the other seven implicated in the Medusa Operation continues on Monday, 12 July 2021.
