Dominican volleyball and baseball teams lost their games in Tokyo Olympics on 27 July, but not without battling to the end. The DR’s women volleyball team lost to Brazil in five sets (22-25, 25-17, 25-13, 22-25 y 15-12). The DR has yet to play South Korea, Kenya and Japan. The baseball team lost to Japan 4-3 in the ninth inning. The baseball tournament is just starting.
Maria Moronta advanced in the quarterfinals round after defeating the Canadian and US boxers in women’s boxing.
