Sandals owner Adam Stewart posted on his Instagram account @adamstewart: “We were privileged to be invited for an official visit to the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic by Her Excellency Angie Shakira Martinez Tejera, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Jamaica. A very special thank you to the President of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Luis Abinader, for meeting with us to discuss the power of tourism and the investment opportunities that expand its reach. I was honored by his heartfelt words recognizing my father and our founder as a legend in this industry (….) Thanks to Biviana Riveiro Disla, Executive Director of ProDominicana, for extending a warm welcome to our team. It was an excellent and timely visit, not only because it coincides with the celebration of four decades as the world’s top luxury brand, but because it comes at a time when we are aggressively pursuing expansion goals. We look forward to the possibility of what is to come,” said Stewart.
