Pepe Goico was retired as a colonel with the wages of a general

N Digital retakes the case of infamous Colonel Pepe Goico explaining that he was retired from the army as a colonel, but was given the privilege of retirement with a general’s pension – RD$70,000 a month. Furthermore, N Digital says that in back payments, in 2018 Goico was paid a check for RD$4.3 million.

Recently Pepe Goico had been in the media for demanding back payments he said were due to him from the Army.

N Digital explains that since 10 May 2018, during the Danilo Medina administration, Pepe Goico has been on the payroll of the Armed Forces Pension Fund, with the rank of brigadier general. The officer was placed in retirement with enjoyment of pension in 2004, with the rank of colonel, for which he would have been entitled to a salary of around RD$36,700.
