Starlink services have been available in the Dominican Republic since 2 July 2022. Now the Elon Musk service monthly cost has been reduced significantly, making the service more attractive to Dominican consumers.
The price to be paid monthly for the service will be RD$2,900. It is recalled that the cost of the equipment necessary to receive the Wifi network is RD$27,000.
The global internet services company announced the price reduction through a press release. The company stated the reduction was taking into account the national market and the purchasing power of Dominicans.
Starlink Internet offers users download speeds of between 150 and 350 Mbps and latency of between 20 and 40 ms, enabling high-performance connectivity for homes and offices with up to 20 users, retail stores and demanding workloads worldwide.
Initially, the Internet service was priced at RD$7,080 per month, plus RD$38,900 for the router.
