President Abinader set to speak at UN on Wednesday; Haiti is the issue

President Luis Abinader is scheduled to travel to the United States on Tuesday, 20 September 2022 to participate in the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Events are ongoing from 15 to 26 September 2022.

This 2022, the United States President will not be the first to speak at the UN General Assembly. He will be the seventh to speak in the morning session. It has been the custom for the US President to speak first as host country. The United States President will now speak on Wednesday, 21 September 2022. President Luis Abinader is scheduled to be the seventh speaker on the afternoon of that day.

President Luis Abinader had been scheduled to leave on Monday, 19 September 2022 for New York, but because of the incidence of Hurricane Fiona, he postponed the trip and now is scheduled to travel on Tuesday.
