
Dominican airline Arajet announces it has started flights from Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) to Mexico with a first flight to the Felipe Angeles International Airport (NLU) in Mexico City. The airline is flying three days a week to Mexico City – Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing at 7:15am and arriving in Mexico City at 10:40am.
Felipe Ángeles International Airport, the second airport serving the Mexico City metropolitan area, is brand new. The airport opened on 21 March 2022. The airport is located in Zumpango, State of Mexico, 48.8 kilometers north-northeast of the historic center of Mexico City by car. A route of direct bus lines connects the airport to many points throughout Mexico City.
Arajet also announces direct flights to Monterrey, Mexico will start on Friday, 30 September with two weekly frequencies on Tuesdays and Fridays, departing at 7:15am and arriving at 11:05am.
Arajet will start flights to Guatemala City on 28 September 2022 with two weekly frequencies on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with departures scheduled for 8am and arrival for 9:15am.
The airline flies to Barranquilla and Cartagena in Colombia, Aruba, St. Maarten, San Salvador in El Salvador, Curacao, and Lima, Peru.
The airline has a fleet of five new Boeing 737 Max-8 aircraft with capacity for 185 passengers.
