All is fair in politics. Former two-time Vice President Margarita Cedeño recently crashed an activity organized by Santiago Mayor Abel Martínez. Martínez is a former president of the Chamber of Deputies when Cedeño was First Lady. Cedeño is also a two-time First Lady (to former President Leonel Fernandez).
Now she aspires to be the presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD). The PLD will choose its presidential candidate in a vote scheduled for 16 October 2022.
A video shows how Margarita Cedeño enters “by mistake” the political activity for the candidacy of Abel Martinez and ends up campaigning for herself. After apologizing for the mistake, the PLD presidential candidacy hopeful urges those present to support the party and vote on 16 October 2022. Cedeño excuses herself saying she thought it was a general activity organized by the political party.
