Listin Diario continues to report on the business of visas issued by the Dominican consulates in Haiti. The four consulates in Haiti closed on 15 September 2022 for security issues. Haitian travel agencies with ties to the Dominican consular officials are offering the deals on social media.
The service is effective but costs at least the double as the official cost of a visa but could cost four times more. “Before the closing of the consulates, the agencies were selling visas for US$400 to US$600. However, an agent consulted predicts that in December it will be even more difficult to obtain and by 2023 it could go up to US$800,” as reported in Listin Diario.
Among the agencies offering the visas, Listin Diario mentions Haideal Travel Agency, Catalina Multi Services, Hugo Agence de Voyage, Josh Agency and Services, Croissance Multi Services
