Playa Hotel & Resorts, the owner, operator and developer of all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, announces it has expanded its Jewel Resorts brand with the addition of the two new Jewel Resorts in the Dominican Republic.
Opening on 21 December 2022, Jewel Punta Cana will be the first-ever Jewel resort in the Dominican Republic. The 620-room all-ages resort is located 20 minutes north from Punta Cana International Airport in the Uvero Alto Beach area.
The company reports that on 7 January 2023 it will open the Jewel Palm Beachon the Caribbean Sea with 500 guest rooms, 35 minutes from Punta Cana.
Playa Hotel & Resorts already operates the Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva, Sanctuary in Cap Cana (Punta Cana) and the Hilton La Romana (Bayahibe-Dominicus Beach).
The Jewel Resorts brand targets travelers interested in an all-inclusive experience at a midscale price point with upscale amenities, outstanding beaches and variety in dining options. The brand also offers elevated spa experiences in addition to other first-class offerings.
For a limited time, Jewel Punta Cana is offering a special grand opening rate of $99 per person per night. Jewel Palm Beach is offering a special grand opening rate of $105 per person per night beginning 26 December 2022.
