President Luis Abinader and his wife, First Lady Raquel Arbaje, sent the nation their best wishes for a successful 2023 via video. Acknowledging the adversities that marked 2022, Abinader said that the successful recovery of the country has been the work of all the people, whom he called the “best asset of the Dominican Republic.” He said 2023 would be a year to consolidate what has been harvested in the past two years.
For her part, the First Lady stressed the roles of the young and the family in the coming year, while not forgetting the need to assist the elderly.
