Julio Sabala, Luz García and Pamela Sued join forces to host Premios Soberano 2023

The organizers of the Premios Soberano, the national entertainer industry awards, announced the presenters of this year’s event. The gala recognizes the most outstanding artists of the 2021-2022 period because the event had been suspended for Covid-19.

The Asociación de Cronistas de Arte (Acroarte) and the Cervecería Nacional Dominicana revealed that Julio Sabala, Luz García and Pamela Sued will be the presenters of the 2023 edition of Premios Soberano.

The organizers held a press conference to explain the choices. Alberto Zayas, the artistic producer of the award, said that Julio Sabala was chosen because he is “one of our greatest artistic ambassadors, with an extensive career of over decades and vast experience in conducting major international events.” He explained Sabala was chosen because “a showman” was needed to be the guiding thread of the ceremony this year.

Luz Garcia was chosen for her glamour and to represent the formal side of the ceremony. With 20 years as a presenter of her TV variety show Noche de Luz, she is known as a woman that connects with the contemporary public. She has already presented the Soberano Awards.

Zayas highlighted that Pamela Sued, with her spark and dynamism, connects with a diverse audience, especially with the younger audience, which is why she brings the freshness of these times, in addition to the fact that she already has experience presenting the awards.

Emelyn Baldera, president of Acroarte, assured that, without a doubt this year’s presenters combine experience and novelty, something that she says cannot fail.

The Soberano Awards, to be held on 22 March 2023 at the National Theater, will be broadcast by Telecentro Channel 13.
