On Wednesday, 26 April 2023, the Annual Dominican Tourist Exchange (DATE) opens at the Barcelo Bavaro Convention Center in Punta Cana. The Hotel and Tourism Association of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) sponsors DATE each year. This year the focus is on the Colonial City.
Business and tourist entities from the Colonial City in Santo Domingo are participating in full force. Representatives of the Santo Domingo Tourist Cluster, the Santo Domingo Hotel Association, and the InterAmerican Development Bank Program for the Development of the Colonial City will be present at the leading Dominican travel show to present the attractions of the historic center of Santo Domingo.
The Colonial City delegation will stress that the city is on the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List. This goes hand in glove with the vibrant social, artistic and commercial activity of the area.
