Residents of Las Marías Street at km 7.5 of Independencia Avenue, in the National District, reject the installation of an entertainment park in their neighborhood. The neighbors say 300 families live in the sector. They say there is no space for parking for those that would come for the mechanical rides that are being installed. The residents are concerned the fair will also bring sound contamination, solid waste and security issues.

“We are aware that recreation should be promoted, but peace and tranquility must prevail,” Nain Acosta told Listin Diario. According to residents, the lot were the park is being installed since about a month was previously full of trees that were cut down for the construction.
