After a first week in action, the Gigantes del Cibao lead the Dominican Professional Winter Baseball Championship. The Gigantes have won three games and lost two. The Estrellas Orientales, Toros del Este, Aguilas Cibaeñas and Tigres del Licey, as of 25 October 2023 all had records of three wins and three losses. The Leones del Escogido is in the last position, with two wins and three losses.
The games are played in Santo Domingo (Tigres del Licey and Leones del Escogido), San Pedro de Macoris (Estrellas Orientales), San Francisco de Macoris (Gigantes del Cibao), La Romana (Toros del Este) and Santiago (Aguilas Cibaeñas).
