JCE mission travels to US to explain preparations for 19 May presidential election

A mission of the judges of the Central Electoral Board will travel to the United States to supervise the setup of the election tables in key areas of the United States. Around 870,000 expats registered to vote abroad and can decide the 19 May election in the Dominican Republic.

The mission of JCE judges travels on Wednesday, 1 May 2024.

The mission is head by JCE president Roman Andres Jaquez Liranzo and member judges
Rafael Armando Vallejo Santelises, Dolores Fernández, Samir Chami Isa and Patricia Lorenzo Paniagua.

The mission also includes members of the Technical Table for Voting Abroad, made up by the Elections, Information Technology, Voting Abroad and Political Parties departments, and directors of Communications, International Relations and Protocol.

The mission will hold meetings with the Dominican community and political parties abroad.

On 2 May, the mission will meet with the Dominican community in Boston; at the Courtyard by Marriott-South, located 63R Boston St., MA 02125; on Friday in Philadelphia, at the Germantown Cricket Club, located at 411 W Manheim St Philadelphia PA 19144; on Saturday in New Jersey, at the Marriott Hotel, 80 Garden State Pkwy, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 and on Sunday in New York, at the Constantine Hall at Fordham University School of Law, located at 150 West 62nd St.

The JCE judges and technical team will present the progress of the preparations for the 19 May 2024 elections abroad (presidential and overseas delegations) to the Dominican community, media and delegates of political organizations.
