A Fausto Rey and Angela Carrasco concert would be a sellout for several nights at the National Theater in the Dominican Republic. The concert is instead going live in New York City. Dominican expats are in for the treat of the “Hoy como Ayer” concert at the Concert Hall of the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts at 8pm on Saturday, 4 May 2024. The concert hall has capacity for 2,276 persons. Lehman Center is located at 250 Bedford Park Blvd W, in the Bronx, New York.
It is the first time the two legendary singers come together for a concert.
72-year old crooner Fausto Rey is celebrating his 55th anniversary as a singer. He is recognized for excellence in his singing of boleros, merengues and other genres. Among his memorable ballads are “Es tu dia feliz,” “Si no es por amor,” and “Yolanda”.
72-year old ballad singer Angela Carrasco migrated to Spain as a young adult and became part of Spanish culture after her performance with Camilo Sesto in the Spanish version of the Broadway hit Jesus Christ Super Star. She will perform “Quererte a ti,” “Quiereme,” “Ahora o nunca” among other hits, during the concert.
