CDN Deportes to provide 24/7 coverage for Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games

CDN Deportes (Channel 37), the Dominican Republic’s only 24-hour sports network, has been selected as an official broadcaster for the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026. This marks the second consecutive time the channel has joined the official broadcasting network (RTVD, Channel 4) for the regional multi-sport event, following its coverage of the San Salvador 2023 Games.

The Games are scheduled to take place from 24 July to 08 August 2026, utilizing various sporting venues across the country.

As part of the media roster led by Radio Televisión Dominicana (RTVD), the host broadcaster, CDN Deportes will provide comprehensive 24/7 coverage. This includes the opening and closing ceremonies, live competitions across various disciplines, and specialized programming featuring technical analysis, human-interest stories, and dedicated tracking of the Dominican Republic’s national delegation.

José Monegro, president of the Santo Domingo 2026 Organizing Committee, and Frank Camilo, director of CDN Deportes signed the agreement. The agreement leverages the full reach of Multimedios El Caribe, ensuring fans can access content via television, radio, and digital platforms through CDN Canal 37, CDN Deportes, CDN Radio, and the El Caribe newspaper.

“Being present at San Salvador 2023 and returning for Santo Domingo 2026 confirms the growth and consolidation of our brand as the sports benchmark in the Dominican Republic,” stated Frank Camilo. “We assume this commitment with the responsibility of delivering top-tier coverage to the public.”

José Monegro emphasized that incorporating a consolidated sports platform into the official transmission structure strengthens the overall quality and reach of the Games, noting the network’s direct connection with the local fan base.

A centennial milestone
The Santo Domingo 2026 Games will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the regional competition. Organizers anticipate this will be the largest edition in history, featuring 37 national Olympic committees, 40 sports and 56 disciplines and over 6,200 athletes.
