Venezuelans arrested in Santiago

Three Venezuelans have been arrested for supposedly taking out money illegally from ATMs in Santiago. According to Santiago police when the suspects were arrested they had RD$240,000 in their possession which had been withdrawn from the bank and a debit card. The suspects were travelling in a vehicle.

Arrested were Daniel Alexander González Paz, aged 36, Eduardo Moronta Moronta, 29 and Jesús Enrique Formayor Manjarres, aged 28 and all were living in the country illegally.

The police said that the suspects had attached something to the ATMs in order to carry out the fraudulent transactions and they were caught due to their suspicious profiles when they took RD$240,000 out in cash in a bank branch on Palo Amarillo Road in Santiago. They tried to flee from the authorities but they were pursued by the police and then arrested.
