According to a Statistical Report on Citizen Safety, between January and June 2019, there were 2,877 thefts of vehicles – 84% of which were motorcycles. This is a 2% decrease over the previous years with most robberies happening on Fridays, followed by Thursdays and then Saturdays. Most were stolen between 6 pm and midnight, followed by midnight to 6am. Two thirds of the thefts did not involve violence.
