
The Central Electoral Board (JCE) reported that it expects the electoral roll for the presidential and congressional elections of 17 May to be 7,556,397 voters, of whom 51.14% are women and 48.86% men. The cut-off date for the electoral voting list is 17 January 2020, some 120 days before the presidential and congressional elections.
The JCE says that the register for the presidential and congressional elections in May 2020 should increase by 69,357 voters, corresponding to 18, 467 minors who will be of voting age by May 2020 and another 50,890 new registrants.
