Peynado plays down Peña’s complaint

The presidential candidate for the PRSC, Jacinto Peynado, called the statement by Dr. José Francisco Peña Gómez that he plans to choose senator Eduardo Estrella as his running mate a fable. Dr Peña has said that with that choice, the PRSC would be prejudicing Cesar Estrella Sadhallá, the president of the JCE, who is Eduardo’s uncle and would try to force him to resign. When the press asked Dr Estrella if this were true, the Santiago senator refused to comment, sending journalists to ask Jacinto Peynado. He told the press that Senator Estrella would be a “magnificent” vice president. The Senator is directing the PRSC campaign in Santiago.
