4 million potential voters

Some 4,038,028 persons have the dual cédulas for identity and voting purposes, but not all of those will be able to vote, according to the Junta Central Electoral. The number of potential voters will be known on 15 April, when the JCE issues the definitive list. Of that number, 1,260,734 are in the National District, and the rest in the three regions of the country. The JCE handed the parties on 27 March nine computer disks for their final examination and approval. The parties will have until 15 April to study and make recommendations and then a final list of voters will be issued.
