EU ambassadors meet with the Foreign Minister

The Minister of Foreign Relations, Carlos Morales Troncoso, and the ambassadors from the European Union nations met last week to discuss several technical and financial cooperation agreements. The ambassadors José Manuel López Barrón of Spain, Henri Vidal of France, Dick Thomson of Great Britain, Klaus Dieter, commercial attaché at the German embassy and Rolf Smit, in charge of commerce for the European Union, met with the Minister and the Lomé Agreement coordinator in Santo Domingo, Angel Lockward, to discuss the pending bilateral agreements. The ambassadors also discussed the agenda for the forthcoming meeting to be held on 13 May in Jamaica, where the future of European Union-Caribbean relations and the efforts to integrate the Caribbean region will be discussed.
