The Junta Central Electoral has received RD$13,336,827 from the government this year, and the press reported that it also received a special payment of another RD$12 million from the President’s fund, (account No. 1401). Of this, over RD$10 million has been paid in salaries. It is said that the JCE will be spending RD$14 million on lunches for the personnel who will work at the 10,500 polling stations on election day.
