“Nueba Yol”, the most successful film made and financed by producers in the D.R., has returned to the cinemas this month. The film, which is a comedy-drama about the all too typical tale of a Dominican looking for a better life in New York, made its debut in Santo Domingo in August of 1995, and was a huge success throughout the country. It later appeared in New York, Miami and other cities in the U.S. as well as Latin America, receiving mostly favorable reviews. The film was written and directed by Angel Muniz and stars Luisito Marti as the emigrant.
