The president of the Board of Directors of the Banco del Comercio Dominicano (Bancomercio) who is also vice-governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Luis Manuel Piantini, explained that the process of selling Bancomercio will take time. He said that the negotiations will take at least a month, and another three additional months of direct supervision by the Central Bank. Mr. Piantini also said that whomever acquires Bancomercio should have the required amount of funds for its capitalization immediately available.
