Irving Redondo, president of the Asociación Nacional de Jovenes Empresarios (ANJE) and Celso Marranzini, president of the Asociación de Industrias de la Republica Dominicana (AIRD), expressed the need for Congress to start playing its real role on 16 August by facing structural and economic reforms. He also said that Congressmen should put the national interest above their political and personal preferences.
