Government paint factory to be auctioned

The Fábrica Dominicana de Pinturas (PIDOCA), the government-owned paint manufacturer is to be sold. The director of the Corporación Dominicana de Empresas Estatales (CORDE), Euclides Gutierrez, announced that PIDOCA is going to be put up for auction on 26 September because of the demands being made by a foreign company in respect of a debt of US$41,712. PIDOCA’s assets include a plot of land measuring 26,600 square meters valued at RD$200 million.
