As of Monday, 18 October 2021, government offices, public transport, schools and universities, and mayor businesses require all attending to be vaccinated and present proof to enter. Digital and physical copies of the vaccination card are accepted.
The Ministry of Public Health says that if you have lost your vaccination card and do not have a digital copy, you may request a duplicate at the Dirección Administrativa de Salud (DAS) corresponding to where you first got vaccinated. In Greater Santo Domingo, there are eight DAS. In the provinces, visit the Dirección Provincial of the Ministry of Public Health to request a duplicate.
You will be asked to present your ID (cedula) and a photograph of your vaccination card or at least the date you were vaccinated.
The Ministry of Labor has said that employees that refuse to get vaccinated are endangering their fellow workers and the collective good and could be fired.
