USA Embassy / El Día

The US Embassy in the Dominican Republic tweeted on 26 December 2021 that due to shortage in available staff due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the immigration visa appointments scheduled for 27 to 30 December have been cancelled. The appointments need to be rescheduled and the new dates will be sent via email. The cancellations also affect fiancée visas (K-1).
