The Dominican Republic International Swim Open and National Championship will be held from 31 March to 2 April 2023 at the 50 meter swimming pool facility at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center in Santo Domingo. The Dominican Open is a qualifier for the Central American and Caribbean Games El Salvador 2023, the Pan American Games Chile 2023, the Paris Olympic Games 2024 and the World Aquatics Championship Fukuoka, Japan 2023.
The Dominican Swimming Federation announces that around 400 swimmers representing 12 countries will compete. Athletes representing Colombia, Guatemala, Panama, Bolivia, Costa Rica, United States, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Venezuela, Cuba, Curacao, Latvia and Haiti have registered, along with Dominican nationals.
