The winners of the 2023 Corripio Foundation Awards were announced on Tuesday, 17 October 2023 during an event at the National Theater. Each of the five winners received a cash prize of RD$1 million and a trophy.
The jurors were historians Juan Daniel Balcácer and José Chez Checo, and physicians Héctor L. Martínez, Iván González Vidal and Igor Bassa Kury.
Professor Bolívar Troncoso Morales was distinguished with the Premio Fundación Corripio en Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas, in the category Geography.
Dr. Manuel Emilio Colomé Hidalgo received the Premio Fundación Corripio in Natural Science and the Health Award in Epidemiology.
Josefina Miniño received the Premio Fundación Corripio de Arte, in Folklore Dance.
Guarionex Rosa received the Premio Fundación Corripio in Communications in the category Journalism.
This year, the winner of the Premio Familia Corripio Alonso was the Fundación Rincón de Luz.
