The Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona) reports the statistics from the Customs Agency (DGA) reveal this year there has been notable growth in exports and this continues in September. September is the fifth straight month of growth for the sector.
In September, the sector saw exports grow by 6%, going from US$628 million in September of 2022 to US$672 million in September 2023.
In the third quarter alone, exports have reached US$2.048 billion, a 5.8% increase over the previous year.
Over the first nine months of 2023, exports grew by 3% over the previous year, going from US$5.9billion to US$6.036 billion.
