The Cisneros family announced the passing away on 29 December 2023 of the chairman of the Grupo Cisneros, 78-year old Gustavo Alfredo Jimenez de Cisneros Rendiles.
The Venezuelan billionaire had acquired the Dominican nationality. He was developing the Tropicalia resort in Miches, some 80 km north of Punta Cana on the East Coast.
Grupo Cisneros announced that his daughter, Adriana Cisneros, would continue at the helm of the company.
