Albert Pujols: 1,000 extra-bases

Playing for the Los Angeles Angels, at the age of 33 Albert Pujols became the 35th ball player in Major League History to reach the 1,000 extra-base milestone. In a game against the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday 10 April he went 4-for-4 with two doubles to make the mark. He is the fifth player to have achieved this by the age of 33. The others are Jimmy Foxx 1077, Alex Rodriguez 1055, Lou Gehrig 1040, and Hank Aaron 1016. He is the sixth Latin American of all time to do so, behind Rafael Palmeiro and Luis Gonzalez and fellow Dominicans Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez and Sammy Sosa. Pujols has connected 477 homeruns, 508 doubles and 15 triples for the 1,000 total.
